Artist Bio:

Enda Burke is a photographer based in Galway. Enda's practice  entails  building elaborate vintage sets concocting narratives with family and friends in them .With a particular emphasis  on Nostalgia, Colours, humor and all things kitsch.

His work  featured in The Guardian, Rolling Stone Magazine,TED talks,The Observer UK and a whole host of International publications.

Enda's work has been recently shortlisted for the Sony World Photo awards ,The Zurich Portrait award at the National gallery ,Selected as part of Saatchi Art Visions of the Future NFT and print auction .His series β€œHomebound with my parents” was the recipient winner of the international Bartur Photo Prize, Profi foto β€œbest of new Talent award” 2022 , Lens Culture Home 21’ IMA Next β€œStory” Shortlisted.

Artist statement:

”I am  drawn to the strange monotony associated with home life, exploring humor ,nostalgia, kitsch design  and colour. I am interesting in portraying  how  small transient details of color  and play can become marvels in monotonous settings.”
